You may feel drowsy or lethargic when you first start antidepressants, which can make exercise feel more difficult. Many antidepressants can also cause weight gain, which would also make things more challenging.
You can and even should exercise while on antidepressants; the exercise helps with the release of endorphins, or ‘feel good’ hormones.
